About Dr. Alysia Kwiatkowski:
Alysia Kwiatkowski DO, MS is the Program Director for the Internal Medicine Training
Program at the State University of New York SUNY at Buffalo (UB). In her work with the
training program, Dr. Kwiatkowski has redesigned and transitioned the curriculum to
interactive, multifaceted, near-peer and learner centered models. She also focuses on
empowering her learners to be integral parts of their educational experiences.
Dr. Kwiatkowski works in the Medical Education and Educational Research Institute
(MEERI) on faculty development, interactive learning models and medical education
research. She completed the Jacobs Excellence Educator Program, a faculty
development program to enhance teaching and evaluation skills, the SUNY SAIL
Leadership Academy, is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and has
received multiple teaching awards.
Dr. Kwiatkowski earned her doctorate from the New York Institute of Technology,
College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency and chief residency at
Albany Medical Center, the major academic center associated with Albany Medical
College,
Dr. Kwiatkowski completed her fellowship in Rheumatology at Rush University
Medical Center where she received a certification in Teaching Excellence. She earned
her Masters of Science in the Natural Sciences from the University at Buffalo/Roswell
Park Cancer Institute.
