EPISODE #37 - Dr. Frank Anderson is a sort of super hero in the field of mental health. He’s a psychiatrist, author, speaker, and trauma specialist. He did his residency in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, worked with Bessel van der Kolk at the Trauma Center, is the former director of the Foundation for Self Leadership, a senior trainer of Internal Family Systems therapy and is an advisor to the International Association of Trauma Professionals. He’s also a father of two boys and is an expert on Internal Family Systems and parenting.

What this résumé boils down to is this: there is no better expert than Dr. Anderson to help us kick off cycle-breaking month. His entire career has been dedicated to breaking patterns of trauma, neglect, and emotional wounds. And he doesn’t just do this in his day job. He’s a father of two boys who brings all of training, wisdom, and compassion home to practice what he preaches.

In this episode, we talk about the groundbreaking and mind-blowing mental health therapy called Internal Family Systems, trauma, breaking cycles, parenting through your True Self, and we even touch on psychedelics. This is one of the best conversations we’ve had on the Yes Collective podcast.
