Most of us know that parenting is one of the toughest jobs on earth, but not all of us know that it’s ok to ask for help. Knowledge is learned and so are positive parenting skills. In this week's episode, I’m excited to bring my dear friend, Dr. Candice. Dr. Candice is a Board Certified Pediatrician who has been helping families for many years through her medical practice. Now she is reaching out to share her wisdom with a broader audience through her new book High Five Discipline: Positive Parenting for Happy, Healthy, Well Behaved Kids. The more we know, the better we can teach.

Bio: Dr. Candice Jones is a board certified general pediatrician practicing in Orlando, FL. She is also a media kid health expert serving as a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics, an author, speaker, community advocate, and fellow podcaster.

In This Episode We Discuss:

  • The effects of the Covid 19 Pandemic on Children
  • Empowering your kids to make healthy food choices
  • Erasing the stigma of asking for and accepting help
  • Taking time to check in with your family
  • The High Five Discipline Method
