Seven years after our first encounter at the Diva Girl Conference, I had the joy of reconnecting with Paul Hynes. Together, we revisited his inspiring journey from art student to fitness luminary, highlighting the transformative power of personal growth when supported by pivotal moments and unwavering determination.

Navigating the world of gym culture can be intimidating, especially for women and newcomers. Paul and I dove into this topic, addressing the importance of gym owners and patrons in fostering an inclusive environment. Through anecdotes and insights, we explored behaviours that hinder participation and championed respect, consent, and community to redefine the gym experience.

We also celebrated the rising presence of women in powerlifting and the transformative effects of strength training for everyone. Paul shared how lifting heavy weights not only benefits the body but also empowers the soul. Additionally, we discussed the pandemic's impact on young girls' sports participation and called for collective action from fitness professionals and parents to reignite their passion for physical activity.

This episode isn't just a conversation; it's a mission to inspire listeners to embrace their inner strength and recognize the boundless potential within.
