"Amanda is a washed up hotshot who lives in Bellingham, WA. In a (thus far unsuccessful) attempt to replicate the glory of working in fire, she now spends a lot of time avoiding reality and cell service in the backcountry. She also enjoys catching tiny fish, playing banjo badly, writing about fire and making a podcast about, you guessed it, fire. It’s called Life with Fire, you should listen to it."
Although she doesn't like taking praise for her work with the "Life With Fire Podcast" - She is widely recognized as a pioneer in the realm of asking the difficult questions about fire; and having subject matter experts, academics, and professionals of wildland fire explain them in a very digestible way...
