- Decentralization - The transfer of control of an activity or organization to several local offices or authorities rather than one single one.
- ICO - Initial Coin Offering. A type of crowdfunding.
- FIAT - Government issued currency, such as the US Dollar.
- HODL - Someone misspelled "Hold" in a forum and it went viral.
- Market Cap - Total Supply times the Current Price point.
- Cold Storage - Cryptocurrency stored in paper wallet or hardware offline.
- ROI - Return on Investment
- FORK - When a blockchain splits into two separate chains.
- FUD - Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt. Often propaganda to lower prices.
- ATH - All-Time High. The highest price a coin has ever been.
- API - a set of functions and procedures allowing the creation of applications that access the features or data of an operating system, application, or other service.
