Hey Chicago! Bundle up because we're diving into a forecast that's colder than a polar bear's picnic!
Tonight, we're looking at a bone-chilling clear sky with temperatures dropping to around 3 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill will make it feel like negative 8 degrees, so grab those extra layers! Expect west winds around 5 miles per hour with gusts up to 10 miles per hour.
Wednesday brings increasing clouds and a high near 21 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind chill will hover around negative 9 degrees, with southwest winds between 5 to 15 miles per hour and gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
Wednesday night gets interesting with isolated snow flurries before 9 pm, then scattered snow showers after. Temperatures will rise to around 24 degrees by early morning, with southwest winds around 15 miles per hour.
As we roll into Thursday, expect a chance of isolated snow showers before 9 am, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 35 degrees Fahrenheit.
The weekend looks like a winter rollercoaster - partly sunny moments mixed with frigid temperatures. Saturday will peak around 30 degrees, while Sunday dips down to a chilly 13 degrees Fahrenheit.
Martin Luther King Day continues the cold trend with temperatures struggling to reach 7 degrees Fahrenheit.
