This is the latest episode of the free DDW narrated podcast, titled: Why is Europe a drug discovery epicentre? It covers three articles written for Volume 23 – Issue 4, Fall 2022 of DDW.

They are called: European drug discovery and development success stories, Basel: A centre for ground-breaking oncology, and On the European CGT landscape, zebras and the future of medicine.

In the first article, Lu Rahman highlights some of the key players as, at the time of writing, we were starting to look beyond the pandemic, asking which areas of Europe’s drug discovery community we should be taking note of.

In the second article, Dr Stephan Emmerth and Paul Eschmann, Basel Area Business & Innovation, explain the benefits of being based in Basel – the talent pool, global players, academic institutions and investors, for example.

In the third article, Megan Thomas reflects on the cell and gene therapy landscape in Europe following Advanced Therapies Europe 2022.
