Julius Horsthuis is a Fractal artist based in Amsterdam. With a rich background in the Dutch film and entertainment industry, Julius transitioned to become a trailblazer in fractal animation. His unique blend of abstract and cinematic animation quickly gained global recognition, featured on platforms like The Creators Project, Gizmodo, and Vimeo Staff Picks. Forbes highlighted his Fulldome film "Fractal Time" among the top XR experiences of 2019.
Julius has crafted music videos for Max Cooper and Meshuggah, visuals for Avicii and Lady Gaga, and has showcased his work at the ARTECHOUSE NYC gallery, with previous exhibits in Amsterdam, Montréal, Moscow, Hong Kong, and Sydney. His art has graced festivals like Art Futura, Art Basel Miami, Coachella, and IDFA.
His goal is to create alien worlds, explore other dimensions, and craft special places that stimulate our imagination to the fullest.
