It's no secret that Chris Pratt (43) was paid better for the 'Jurassic World' films than his film partner Bryce Dallas Howard (41). It was previously assumed that the 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' actor was paid around two million dollars more than his colleague.

But the actress has now revealed in an interview that the difference in fees — she was reported to have received $8 million — was actually much bigger. The reason: She negotiated her salary at a time when the gender pay gap was not the issue it is today in many places. "The reports were very interesting," the actress said in an interview with Insider. "Because I received a lot less than what was reported. So much less. When I started negotiating for 'Jurassic' it was 2014 and it was a different world. That was my big disadvantage. Unfortunately you have to do three films sign and the deals are set."

But Chris Pratt stood by Bryce Dallas Howard with advice and action when it came to negotiating payment for the actual work in front of the camera. It was about merch, video games and the like — a nice extra for blockbusters like the Dino franchise. He advised his colleague to leave all negotiations to him. "I'll negotiate everything, we'll get paid right away, don't worry about it Bryce. I love him so much for that," gushed the performer. Apparently, Chris Pratt had good negotiating skills because "I got paid more money for things than I ever got for the movie," Bryce told Dallas Howard.
