Welcome to Protecting Your Nest with Dr. Tony Hampton. Cecile Seth is a science journalist and the Founder of Metabolic Multiplier—a volunteer organization self described as “a grassroots movement exploring the interface of lifestyle and metabolic health.” She attended and graduated from Harvard Business School, is a Co-Founder of Chris Palmer MD, and is the author of the blog, STEMshoots.

In this episode, Tony and Cecile discuss emphasizing metabolic health vs emphasizing low-carb, why diet alone is often not sufficient for success with one’s metabolic health journey, the effects of diet and other lifestyle interventions on epilepsy, the purpose of and services offered by Metabolic Multiplier, risk factors that predispose people to metabolic dysfunction, direct actions one can take to start improving their metabolic health today, the coronary calcium score, why natural sugars are not healthy just because they are natural, and how anyone can get involved in helping to spread the word about low-carb, keto, and metabolic health.
