This one starts a little heavy. Megan reveals something personal she hasn’t yet shared publicly and talks about getting back to work, which led her to reconnect with Becca (name changed for privacy) who came to Nutrition Awareness in 2020 wanting to lose weight.

Becca was already super healthy eater and avid exerciser. Becca is a rule follower. She wanted us to tell her what she was doing that wasn’t working and give her a blueprint to follow exactly. She would have followed ANYTHING we told her to do if it meant she would lose weight.

Unfortunately, the last thing Becca needed was a meal plan. She had no period, was tracking everything in MyFitnessPal, couldn’t gain muscle, was obsessive about her body and measured her self worth based on the last meal she had.

Over the next 16 sessions, we got INTO it. In this podcast, we talk about Becca’s journey to a level of confidence and freedom she has never felt and how changing her relationship to food radiated into every other aspect of life. We also talk about the setbacks she’s been experiencing lately and come up with solutions in real time.

Becca’s story blurs the lines between nutrition and therapy and addresses the need for the whole person and all aspects of life to be considered, not just what they’re eating.
