Menopause Weight Gain: Is Ozempic the Answer?
Manage episode 419564138 series 2874455
Weight gain and the desire to lose weight is top of mind for MANY women, especially midlife women. Ozempic in addition to other drugs like it has been very popular in the media and doctors' offices these days.
And given my weight management journey, the chatter definitely piqued my interest which is why I invited Dr. Disha Narang to the podcast.
In this episode, Dr. Narang shares the truth about Ozempic and other similar medications and their role in midlife health; changing the narrative and language when we talk about obesity and weight; and weight management strategies.
Let me tell you more about Dr. Disha Narang:
Dr. Narang is a leading endocrinologist, obesity, and culinary medicine specialist, and Director of Obesity Medicine at Endeavor Health System in Chicago. She graduated with her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and completed her residency and endocrinology fellowship at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Narang especially loves working with women at all stages of their lives, in addition to families navigating obesity and chronic disease. She is the co-founder of the Meet Ayla Community, to address metabolic health in women at all stages of their lives.
