Are you tired of fighting with your children over bad behavior?

Do the tactics you’ve been trying fall short?

You are not alone. You are NOT a bad dad.

This week, It’s another Book Club episode - where we turn evidence-based research into practical, values-focused parenting tips.

This week’s episode covers Dr. Becky Kennedy’s Book, Good Inside.

You don't have to feel frustrated. You don't have to feel like a bad parent.

This podcast will include my biggest lessons from this book and how I am applying these to my own life as a parent as well as with the families that I serve:

1. Internal goodness and behavior as an expression of needs, not identity

2. Importance of empathy and connection in building resilience

3. Shift from correcting behavior to helping children develop long-term emotional regulation skills

4. Parental self-reflection and emotional maturity as key to child development

One action item for dads is to practice interpreting their child's behavior as a form of communication and to respond with empathy and understanding, rather than judgment. By nurturing their child's internal goodness and emotional regulation skills, dads can help their children develop into compassionate and resilient individuals.
