Dr. Berghoff says his interest in surgery began with and continues to reward him because of his interest in people. “People and their life stories fascinate me, and I get the most satisfaction from my job by getting to know so many different people,” he says. “When I can help patients get better by being their surgeon and getting involved in their lives, it is then that I am most satisfied.” Married and busy with four young children, Dr. Berghoff stays busy on and off the job.
