Ever found yourself in a seemingly never-ending loop of misunderstandings and conflicts with your partner? What if we told you there was a name for it - the 'Crazy Cycle,' a theory by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs that we're about to decode. Prepare to be enlightened as we discuss the nuances of this cycle, humorously exemplified by our chandelier's bulbs incident. And yes, you've guessed it right, the Crazy Cycle is all about the interplay of love and respect, as stated in Ephesians 5:33.
We're all different, and so are our love languages and our perceptions of the world. We’ll explain these differences between men and women, and how they amplify the 'Crazy Cycle.' We'll uncover the five love languages and how they're perceived uniquely through our metaphorical pink and blue glasses. You'll also gain insight on how men's need for respect and women's need for love can bring about a divergence in their shared experiences and new projects.
In our mission to break this Crazy Cycle, Dr. Emerson's COUPLE advice - Closeness, Openness, Understanding, Peacemaking, Loyalty and Esteem, has been our guiding light. Listen on as we share the challenges faced by men, especially in terms of openness and understanding, and how it can create friction in relationships. We'll also discuss the impact of relying on friends for emotional support on relationship intimacy. And of course, we will share our personal journey of cycling together, the sentimental tale behind Mike's wedding band, and the power of kindness. Join us, in our radiant mission, as we break the Crazy Cycle.
