The Million Person Project: How Your Story Sets You Free & Why EVERYONE'S Story Is Important & Can Inspire, Move People To Action, Shift Culture, & Change The World
Manage episode 456130996 series 2956596
I always like to have collaborative partners on the show. Especially when they are business AND romantic partners! A Divine Union of sharing love and creating together. My guests this week are quite the creative and inspiring couple, Heather Box and Julian Mocine-McQueen. They came together with a shared vision for encouraging others to own and share their story. Heather and Julian believe that everyone has a story to tell, and that story has the power to influence others—family, friends, a community, or even the whole world. In their book How Your Story Sets You Free they explain why storytelling is the most powerful way there is to inspire others and build lasting connections.
On this guest episode, Heather & Julian share their origin story as well as their tips and tricks to build & share connections and get writing. Whether you are looking to empower yourself, find your voice during a work meeting, or make new friends (at any age) Heather shares how taking the social and making it personal helps human connection. They emphasize that you don’t need a “hero’s story” to share your story with others. Heather’s 2 question prompt will help any individual discover what it is they want to share with the world and explain why it’s important to do so! They also speak to the empowering nature of story telling and how women can embrace their voices and stories and recognize how their stories contribute to a more inclusive historical narrative. Stories are the fabric of society and we need women's stories to be fairly represented!
