A journey of career reinvention often leads us to confronting our fears, as we leave the path of being in “survival mode” and start creating one that feels authentic to us. For today’s guest this transition required an identity shift where she overcame a a fear that many high-achieving women face: can I be an amazing mom and have a thriving career at the same time? Can I do it all?

Today’s guest, Wendy Wylde, is one of my clients who constantly amazes me. She’s the Founder and CEO of Matter Flow Advisors where she helps law firms build automated businesses. She’s an inspiring businesswoman, an amazing mom, and a supportive partner. Wendy left her corporate job in 2023 to pursue her business full-time. And she’s doing it with an astounding amount of clarity and conviction. We’re digging in to figure out exactly what made this possible for her! Wendy is generous with her story.

At the age of six, she was sent to live with aunt and uncle out of the blue. After moving through this experience of abandonment, Wendy knew how to be centered on herself. From leaving the Mormon church and leaving an unaligned marriage, she followed her authenticity at every turn. Now, as she navigated motherhood and entrepreneurship, she’s learning the power of asking for help and getting the support she needs. She refuses to languish in mom guilt as she continues growing her business because she’s super clear on what her role is as a mother.

And she doesn’t shame herself for seeking guidance, in fact she embraces it! I was incredibly touched to hear about the impact that coaching has had on her career. I think you’ll really enjoy this episode.

In this episode, we’re chatting about:

  • Wendy’s story of reinvention
  • What Wendy did when she learned she needed more than motherhood
  • How she gained clarity on her next steps moving into entrepreneurship
  • How she gained the courage to pave a new path
  • Getting clear on the role of a mother and how that clarity will set you free
  • How coaching has changed Wendy’s life and career
