Good morning, Columbus! This is your weather buddy coming in hot... or should I say, cold with a side of snow!
Let's break down this winter wonderland forecast for you. Overnight, we're looking at a chilly scene with temperatures hovering around 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect a steady south wind around 8 miles per hour, and a 40 percent chance of snow - so light dusting, folks!
Thursday brings more snow action, mainly before 2 in the afternoon. We'll see temperatures creeping up to a brisk 32 degrees Fahrenheit with south winds switching to west in the afternoon. Pack your snow boots and maybe an extra layer - we're talking about potentially less than an inch of accumulation.
Friday looks like a bit of a breather with partly sunny skies and temperatures climbing to around 36 degrees Fahrenheit. Weekend warriors, heads up - Saturday's got a 90 percent chance of rain transitioning to potential snow, with highs near 39 degrees Fahrenheit.
But hold onto your hats, because things are about to get seriously cold. Martin Luther King Day is looking like a deep freeze with temperatures struggling to reach a mere 5 degrees Fahrenheit. Monday night and Tuesday night will dip down to a bone-chilling negative 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
