Good morning, Atlanta! I'm your weather buddy, bringing you the scoop on our chilly January forecast.
Let's dive right in. Today's looking mostly cloudy with temperatures barely crawling up to a nippy 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds from the west will start light but pick up to around 5 to 10 miles per hour in the afternoon, so grab that jacket!
Tonight, expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures dipping down to a frosty 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Those west winds will be gentle, around 5 miles per hour.
Friday's bringing some sunshine our way! We'll see a high near 43 degrees Fahrenheit with west winds between 5 to 10 miles per hour. Some gusts might reach up to 20 miles per hour, so hold onto your hats.
The weekend's looking pretty sweet. Saturday will be sunny with temperatures climbing to 47 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday brings partly sunny skies and temperatures near 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
But hey, weather watchers, keep an eye out for potential showers Sunday night and Monday morning. We've got about a 50 percent chance of rain after 1 am on Sunday and a 40 percent chance of showers before 1 pm on Monday.
The good news? Next week looks mild with temperatures reaching into the mid 50s and even touching 61 degrees Fahrenheit by Wednesday.
