Good morning, Atlanta! This is your Weather Wavelength report for today.
We've got a chilly situation brewing in Georgia, with some interesting weather patterns that'll keep you reaching for those extra layers.
Today, expect a sunny day with temperatures struggling to climb, topping out near 35 degrees Fahrenheit. That northwest wind will be lazily drifting around 5 miles per hour before switching to a gentle southeast breeze in the afternoon.
Tonight, prepare for a serious temperature drop. We're looking at mostly clear skies and temperatures plummeting to a brisk 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be taking a little vacation and remain calm.
Moving into Thursday, we'll see partly sunny conditions with temperatures inching up to a slightly warmer 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The winds will play a gentle game, starting calm and then developing a west-bound flow around 5 miles per hour.
Friday brings mostly sunny skies with a high near 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Expect northwest winds between 5 to 10 miles per hour, with gusts potentially reaching 20 miles per hour - so maybe hold onto your hat!
Weekend warriors, rejoice! Saturday looks sunny with temperatures climbing to 47 degrees Fahrenheit, and Sunday bringing a partly sunny day with temperatures reaching a pleasant 51 degrees Fahrenheit.
But wait, there's a slight moisture twist coming. Sunday night and Monday have a 50 and 40 percent chance of showers respectively, so keep that umbrella nearby.
