The Men of Voices Beyond Assault present A Conversation with John-Michael Lander. At 14, John-Michael was an accomplished diver – destined to rise to the world stage in the Olympics. But soon after, the adults put in charge off his training, began grooming him and trafficking him into a life of sexual abuse. Thus began a secret life for John-Michael, filled with shame and guilt while still managing to win gold medals at the Norway and Danish Cups. John-Michael chronicled his story in two novels, Surface Tension and Cracked Surface. And he has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about sexual predators, the long-term effects of sexual abuse and survival. A certified Trainer and Life Coach with the Self-Talk Institution, John-Michael has been leading the way across the country with his writings, public speaking, workshops and many interviews. It is this story of John-Michael’s triumph, healing and helping others. we will focus on today. Hosted by Craig Heiting and Lorward Choi.
