Welcome back to The MarshyCast! Yes, it’s been a few weeks, but we’ve been busy at Express FM, covering the incredible Victorious Festival. Over the last two weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing some amazing local bands. If you missed those episodes, you can catch them on the Express FM website. But today, I’m thrilled to bring you a bumper episode packed with some truly remarkable interviews. Trust me, this one’s worth the wait.
On this week’s podcast:
- I caught up with the brilliant John Kearns to discuss his new Sky Comedy special, The Varnishing Days. We dove into his experience on Taskmaster, why he was so eager to join the show, his thoughts on THAT Jermaine Jenas moment, and how to nail the perfect comedy special ending.
- Next, I spoke with Zack George, better known as Steel the Gladiator, about the highly anticipated second season of Gladiators. We also talked about his inspiring program for schools, Zactive, and why taking down funny people is tougher than it looks.
- Jon Brown joined me for an epic chat with Luke Bugg, aka The Geek of Steel, and Paul Edwards, aka DC World, about their adventures at the world’s biggest Comic-Con in San Diego. We also explored the surreal experiences of Comic-Con, where you’re never quite sure what’s real.
- Lastly, I had the pleasure of speaking with Cherie Hall from U&Dave about the Joke of the Year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and how winning this coveted title can catapult a comedian’s career.
Thank you once again for reading and listening. Now that we’ve caught our breath, it’s time to get back to taking over the world—one podcast at a time. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe!
