Screening for early detection of cancer is one of the most important health care decisions you can make. We have all had a loved one, a friend & people in our lives who have had a cancer diagnosis. Cancer is an unfortunate reality that plagues the human race & its effects are devasting on both individuals and families. It is also a disease that in medicine we still do not understand, and whether you are the most healthy person in the world, or not, we are all at risk for cancer. Today on The Hormone Genius, we will do an overview of what cancer screenings are most important to consider, and how early detection is truly the key to saving lives. We will touch on the most common cancers women are at risk for, and what are the most common cancer screenings to ask your doctor about ,including cervical, breast, lung cancer and colon cancer. There are many cancers unfortunately that do not have standard screenings which we did not cover today, so please make sure you take a look at the websites below to get more information on cancers which we did not cover such as skin cancers including melanoma, and uterine cancer, and blood cancers and more. We hope this information is helpful for you, and that it empowers you to talk to your doctor about which cancer screenings are appropriate for you. It is also important to know if you have higher risk for cancers based on family history. Please discuss your family history with your doctor and you can learn more about hereditary cancer risks here: https://www.cdc.gov/bring-your-brave/hcp/education/assessing-risk-young-patients.html Here is a summary of cancer screening guidelines by the American Cancer Society: https://www.cancer.org/health-care-professionals/american-cancer-society-prevention-early-detection-guidelines.html https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/screening/screening-tests#recommended-cancer-screening-tests BONUS INFORMATION: We are featuring today The Hormone Genius mini-course that is on sale now for 37 dollars!
