From Battlefield to Boardroom: Bridging Opportunity Gaps with Matthew DePrimo. Matthew DePrimo is a distinguished U.S. Army combat veteran and the founder of CareerBridge IT Solutions, a company dedicated to bridging employment gaps for underrepresented groups in STEM fields. His military service, including a deployment to Afghanistan, instilled in him a resilient leadership philosophy centered on overcoming challenges—a principle he now applies to his entrepreneurial endeavors. Motivated by the struggles of international students and professionals facing barriers to employment, Matthew established CareerBridge to create opportunities for veterans, international professionals, the BIPOC community, and women in STEM. Under his leadership, the company partners with universities across New York State to assist graduates in securing local employment, thereby fostering diversity and inclusion in the tech industry. Matthew's commitment to mentorship and continuous learning has been pivotal in shaping CareerBridge's mission to challenge industry biases and promote equitable hiring practices.
