Dr. Scott Hamilton holds a M.Div., from George W. Truett Theological Seminary in Religious Education, a Th.M., from Brite Divinity School in Pastoral Theology and Pastoral Counseling, and a Ph.D., from Walden University in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Hamilton has been my academic advisor at Yellowstone Theological Institute where he is currently a Lecturer in Pastoral Care & Counseling and an Academic Administrator. I asked Dr. Hamilton if he would be willing to help me walk out some of our prayer practices through his tool set and lens as a PhD in counseling psychology. I am keenly aware that we are prayer practitioners and NOT professional counselors and I always want to improve my understanding of scripture and prayer through that perspective.
