Men’s Mental Health Week: Listen to this if you feel stuck or numb and can’t find the words | Mel Yu | Ep 23
Manage episode 361740309 series 3470728
TRIGGER WARNING: This episode has discussions around suicide.
This week I am back with an episode of my own lived experience and journey through mental health, belonging and losing my late partner to suicide.
Between June 14th and June 20th, it is Men’s Mental Health Week in Australia. In most countries around the world, men’s mental health is generally poorer than that of females mental health. More males die earlier, more males have accidents, more males suffer from lifestyle health conditions and more males take their own lives.
In this episode, I encourage you to open up and I lead by example. This episode reminds us all that it is okay to not be okay, but we must endure and weather the storms.
