Welcome back to another episode of the ACN Podcast. With ANZAC Day approaching, I spoke with Sharon Bown MACN. Sharon has been an active member within the ACN community for quite a number of years; and I was incredibly appreciative of her time to be on the podcast. Sharon served in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as a Nursing Officer for close to 17 years, retiring at the rank of Wing Commander. Sharon shares her experiences in her role via her book, titled: 'One Woman's War & Peace: A Nurse's Journey in the Royal Australian Air Force. Sharon has also served as a council member for the Australian War Memorial (AWM) for close to 4 years. The purpose of this episode is to provide an update on what to expect on ANZAC Day; we discuss other concepts such as the importance of ANZAC Day, the challenges that may face Veterans on this day; and we conclude by providing an update on the Vivian Bullwinkel project.
