Manage episode 425351569 series 3436382
Welcome back my friends! On today’s episode, I interview collegiate distance runner Taylor Pluta to talk about her journey with running and overcoming depression. Taylor has made significant progress in the sport of running in just about two years. From not even running in high school, to becoming a competitive collegiate distance athlete, to shaving minutes off of her race times, she shares her journey of how she fell in love with the sport and how she made such phenomenal progress. We have a great conversation about the fear behind being “too old” or it being “too late” to start, and how to overcome that mindset that is holding you back. We also talk about how she overcame depression, how running has impacted her mental health, and how she has transformed her sense of self and mental health with the sport of running as one of her guides. Taylor’s journey is so inspiring. If you are struggling with the “it’s too late” mindset, are dealing with depression, or are simply looking to feel inspired, this episode is for you.
