Osteopathic Manipulation—Eric Hogan, DO
In this episode, we review the benefits of osteopathic manipulation.

We meet Dr. Eric Hogan who practices family medicine at the Westside office of Tanner Clinic.

We learn more about physicians who have osteopathic training.

We learn about osteopathic manipulation and how it differs from chiropractic manipulation.

We learn what conditions benefit from osteopathic manipulation in both adults and children.

We learn which adult and pediatric patients may not realize they would benefit by receiving osteopathic manipulation—especially pregnant women.

Bio:

Eric Hogan, DO, practices family medicine at Westside and is now accepting new patients and referrals.

Dr. Hogan enjoys treating every member of the family regardless of age. As a specialty to his practice, Dr. Hogan provides his patients the option of osteopathic manipulation—a series of hands-on techniques, including stretching, gentle pressure and resistance, to treat illnesses.

A Davis County native,Dr. Hogan graduated from Davis High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Weber State University. Following, he attended medical school at Michigan State University. After graduation, Dr. Hogan completed a family medicine residency through Sparrow Hospital in Lancing, Michigan–an affiliate hospital of Michigan State University. He then completed an additional year of residency to specialize in neuromuscular medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine through Sparrow Hospital.

Outside of work, Dr. Hogan enjoys spending time with his wife and 5 children. They enjoy being active and doing outdoor activities. He also enjoys running, basketball and skiing.

Dr. Hogan is fluent in Spanish.
