Many organizations know little to nothing about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). For those that do, they often do not consider their value when leveraged in an organization truly dedicated to cultural change. Therefore, there is minimal strategic investment in these institutions as another option in the talent acquisition toolbox. Why is this happening, and what can be done to change the status quo?

We invite Fields Jackson, an expert DEI&B in the corporate world to chop it up about this topic and much more.

Fields Jackson has worked with countless organizations on diversity and inclusion initiatives, and has insight on diversity trends of many corporations. During this episode, Fields talks about the value HBCUs can bring to businesses committed to DEI&B, and shares how many corporations lack the competency to access them effectively.

Fields offers a unique way to talk about diversity even with the most extreme thinkers. He gives a “stepping on your neck” example of a conversion he was part of about George Floyd.
