On the 85th episode of the Jiu-Jitsu Outlet show, I talk to Jiu-Jitsu black belt, coach, and the owner of Grappling Concepts in Nixa, Missouri: Jacob Ritchie.
Jacob first fell in love with the martial arts as a way to help his mental health and his life off the mats. He immediately saw the benefits in training and jumped into the early mixed martial arts (MMA) scene in the midwest.
Over time, Jacob moved into coaching athletes and developing others. He is now the head coach and owner at Grappling Concepts in Nixa, Missouri. Known for its world class wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu programs, Grappling Concepts is a high level training facility that creates winners.
In this episode, we talk about how training in martial arts has helped Jacob change his life off the mats. We discuss all the ways Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling can help others and why it has been so important for Jacob's kids as they have matured.
Jacob also talks about the biggest takeaways he has had from coaching and the most impactful moments of his career.
