On this 68th episode of the podcast, I sit down with BJJ purple belt Michael Yim - The "Korean Executioner". Training out of Immortals BJJ, Michael is a competitor and a coach who has dedicated his life to the martial arts.
In this episode, we talk about how Jiu-Jitsu has given Michael Yim a purpose. By teaching others how to stand up for themselves, Michael has found a way to give back to his community at a high level.
In our chat, Michael talks about why he started training in the martial arts as a way to help defend his autistic brother from bullies. From there, Michael ended up at Immortals BJJ training under Michael Rakshan. At this spot, Michael has flourished as a competitor and as a teacher.
We also chat about how Michael's career as a teacher has set him up for success in Jiu-Jitsu and why he feels called to influence the next generation. We also dive into a discussion about ancestral karma and how to know your true life's purpose based off your family lineage.
Listen to this episode and learn about why Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can become a massive catalyst for change in a person's life.
