Emil is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and an instructor. He makes a living in the martial arts and has been training for over twenty years.

In this interview, we react to the New York Times article about how Jiu-Jitsu training can lead to severe injuries.

Emil discusses how to train martial arts in a way that reduces the risk of injury. We talk about why having common sense is so important and different ways to keep practice safe.

We also discuss how training in the martial arts has impacted Emil's mental health and life off the mats. Emil shares about what it's like training with UFC fighters like Stipe Miocic and how the keep training safe at the highest levels.
