Manage episode 288617726 series 2902249
As Bangladesh has declared a 10-day-lockdown to contain the transmission of the COVID-19, over a million Rohingya in refugee camps are advised to follow the social distancing policies.
While the social distancing brings an effective halt in the spread of the virus, it also affects people mentally, particularly Rohingya taking shelters in refugee sheds across Cox’s Bazar district.
Dr. Ambia Perveen, a prominent Rohingya paediatrician and child and adolescent psychiatrist from Rohingya Medics Organisation, speaks and advises in her native Rohingya language on how to maintain the mental health during the pandemic.
