This is going to sound crazy, but it’s absolutely true…

…did you ever listen to THIS PODCAST and quit your job?

And not just any job – but a job with APPLE?

Because as wild as that sounds, today’s guest did just that.

Alex Hubelbank is an NBA consultant that appears to have lived 99 lives.

She really did quit her job at Apple so she could pursue her dream of going back to physical therapy school and working in the NBA.

And in this episode of the Physical Prep Podcast, we’re going to take a deep dive into the principles, value systems and processes she uses to get amazing results with her athletes.

People need to have a better understanding if they want to make better decisions. – Alex Hubelbank

This Week on the Physical Prep Podcast:

  • How a knee injury in soccer really pushed Alex into the world of physical preparation.
  • Her foundation principles, and why she believes in having a pragmatic approach to training.
  • The importance of finding the rate limiter, as well as HOW she’s going about doing that.
  • Why Alex believes in giving an athlete all of the relevant information, and then helping them find the best decision.
  • How she’s trying to layer both performance and health to optimize how her athletes move and feel.
  • Teaching athletes to guide their own process, and the adult discussions that result from that.
  • The biggest difference Alex has seen moving from the team-side to the individual-side of pro sports.
  • A really fun lightning round where we talk powerlifting, the best and worst part of being on the road, and why she takes such great pride in being a straight shooter.
