This week on Outdoor Journal Radio, Ang and Pete are joined by documentary film team Yvonne Drebert and Zach Melnick of Inspired Media Productions to talk about underwater fish photography and their mission to highlight the Quagga Mussel problem facing the Great Lakes.
First, however, a bit of housekeeping was in order. Topics discussed included: pieces of collections; cleaning fish with scissors; where all the smelt went; augmented reality glasses for LiveScope; learning to drive on simulators; and whether fish are adapting to our techniques.
With those matters out of the way, Yvonne and Zach join the show! Topics discussed included: the drawbacks of clear water; ancient drone technology; 8K footage; what really spooks fish; how a good camera can turn you into a scientist; undocumented fish species; making freshwater sexy; the collapse of Great Lakes whitefish; naming your equipment; discovering forgotten species; and much more!
