Have you ever wondered what happens when the person who keeps the household running gets sick? In this episode, Tia and Kelli explore the challenges and unexpected silver linings of being a sick mom. From letting go of control to accepting help from family members, they dive into the complex emotions and practical realities of stepping back from the daily responsibilities that typically fall on mom's shoulders. You'll hear personal stories, discover how illness can create teaching moments for children, and learn about some surprisingly effective remedies for when sickness strikes. This honest conversation tackles the "mom hero complex" and offers a refreshing perspective on allowing yourself to be human, even when that means letting things run a little differently than usual.
Medicine Ball Tea
8 ounces lemonade
8 ounces water
1 tablespoon honey
1 Teavana jade citrus mint tea sachet
1 Teavana peach tranquility tea sachet
1. Heat water and pour into a cup
2. Add honey until dissolved
3. Add both tea bags and allow to steep for 2-4 minutes
4. Add lemonade (Note: This is if you want to cool down the tea a bit. If you want it really hot, you can heat up the lemonade separately and pour it in with the water.)
Lidia's Egg Drop Soup
2 14 1/2 oz cans chicken broth (3 1/2 cups)
1 qt. water
2 tbsp. fish sauce
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup cold water
2 eggs, beaten
1 chopped green onion
pepper to taste

5. Transfer to slow cooker. Add green onions and pepper.
6. Cover. Cook on low 1 hour. Keep warm in cooker.
