In this episode, Makayla sits down with Emmy Barrett, who is the founder of a networking community for Texas women in the marketing field named Texas Marketing Gals. With now over 800 members, Emmy recognizes Makayla as one of the first members, and even remembers the post she made months ago looking for an internship. This post ended up leading Makayla to her beloved internship with TONAL Cosmetics, as it did with many women. The girls open up about their past insecurities and misconceptions about networking, and how they've built up their confidence to adapt to a new mindset. Emmy shares her experience founding the group, how she has managed the growth she never anticipated, fulfilling moments it's given her, and the exciting future of the group.
