‘Living with Ovarian Cancer Podcast’ is full of inspiring stories told by people who are living with or have a connection with Ovarian Cancer.

Each person’s story is a gift; unique and is told from the heart in their own words. I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood. Please subscribe to the Podcast and leave a review so that the show becomes more visible to listeners.

In this episode I am going solo as I don’t have a guest with me this time. I have had seven Christmas’s with Ovarian Cancer, so I know what it’s like to cope with the rollercoaster of emotions and physical demands of the holiday season. Plus, I had many years of experience as a Palliative Care CNS and saw how my patients coped with this time of year too. So, in this episode I am hoping I can share with you the benefit of my wisdom from my nursing days but also from my own personal experience with cancer how I have coped.

Please know that you are not alone. Whatever feelings you’re experiencing over the holiday season, you can guarantee that there are many others going through similar with you. Try to go with the flow knowing that “this too will pass” and these feelings will almost certainly fluctuate in intensity. Much, much love to you all!

For more support over the holiday season, you can call:

Macmillan Cancer Support helpline on 0808 808 00 00, seven days a week, 8am-8pm.

Disclaimer: Each story in this Podcast is unique to the woman who is telling it. The content of each episode and the views expressed are not meant to be a substitute for medical advice or intervention. You will hear stories of women who sought alternative therapies, integrated oncology services or even choosing to decline treatment options. However, this is their story, and I am not advocating that you follow the path of any one woman who features in the podcast. If you have a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer, please make sure that you discuss anything that is going to affect your treatment or wellbeing with your own Medical team. You are unique and so what’s right for one woman may not be right for you!
