In this week’s episode, co-hosts Sami & Dobie go across the globe to meet with Kalex, a type 1 diabetic from London, UK.
Kalex sheds some light on what life is like dealing with diabetes in London and the healthcare system there. Diagnosed in his mid twenties, Kalex had to shift his lifestyle and relationships to ones that encourage the prioritization of dealing with this chronic disease.
For Kalex, this meant limiting take out meals to only 1-2 times per week instead of every meal. AND if you’re listening in the UK, it’s called ‘takeaway’ not ‘take out’. Another educational moment for Sami and Dobie, to say the least.
C’est la vie, baby!
