Do you ever feel like you’re comfortable in your role as a mom, but then those little intrusive thoughts come in and tell you that other moms are doing it better? And because you’re tired, you start to believe those thoughts? Same.

We’re going to be really intentional with those quotes here, you guys. Because early parenthood is full of a lot of feelings and thoughts of “failure.” But this is a perception that we made up. And we gotta talk about that. Maybe it feels like you’re: “Failing” at your marriage. “Failing” at your role as a parent. “Failing” at providing enough mental stimulation for your infant. “Failing” at….the whole experience.

This week, Ruby and Erin are breaking down the lies we tell ourselves, including the age-old favorite that everyone knows what they’re doing besides you (lol). They’ll explore what it means to feel like a failure in your relationship post-baby, and how these feelings simply reflect the meaning you assign to things.

Are you looking for a therapist in your area to navigate some of these feelings? Amazing!! We recommend trying something like Psychology Today or Postpartum Support International to help you find the right therapist for you.

Loving the show? We'd love your feedback!
