In this episode, we are delighted to talk to Pollyanna Darling, the Head of Community Engagement & Strategy for TreeSisters.
TreeSisters is a UK registered social change and reforestation charity that places tropical forest restoration into everyone’s hands. Through individuals and businesses that give back to Nature every month, TreeSisters has so far funded the planting of over 15 million trees across 12 locations in Brazil, Borneo, Cameroon, India, Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar, Nepal and West Papua.
The Vision: To envision a world in which it is normal for everyone to protect and restore themselves and their world.
The Mission: To rapidly accelerate tropical reforestation by inspiring and channelling women's Nature-based feminine leadership into local and global action.
Pollyanna, a vital part of the team, talks about how she got involved, what she is doing and the need for effective change, restoration and reforestation. She also explains why climate change is going to have a more significant effect on women than men.
We also discuss how we have partnered with them to grow the How To Be Good forest, a challenge that we would love you to join us in. By becoming a Patreon you help us plant trees and help us continue bringing you these podcasts. With two of the membership levels, we will also plant 3 or 5 trees in your name. We will also give you a mention in one of the shows.
