Christy shares her story so we can learn from her experiences. When faced with a breast cancer diagnosis, patients often encounter the challenging decision of choosing between a lumpectomy and a double mastectomy. While we will not get into the science of these procedures, we will highlight the decision-making process, the importance of communication, and the relationship between patient and healthcare provider, which is truly a health equity issue.
