Join us today, as we discuss the difficult topic of Obesity. In Singapore, 30% of the population is overweight, while 10% are obese. With obesity, comes co-mordibities ranging from hypertension, dyslipidemia, sleep apnoea to ischemic heart disease.
A difficult issue to address and tackle, we are joined with Senior Consultant Endocrinologist Dr Lee Phong Ching,, Director of the SGH Obesity Centre, as well as Dr Ravishankar Asokkumar, Consultant Gastroenterologist specialising in Bariatric Endoscopy. We discuss the clinical approach to obesity, as well as some of the available and upcoming treatment options.
