Melissa and Leadership/Teams expert Dr Pauline Lee chat about why it is well worth teams doing "the work" to become a leadership team rather than a team of leaders. What can your team do if it is clear on why it exists? How energising is it to be on a team that is headed in the same direction, is supportive and achieving fantastic outcomes. Dr Pauline Lee shares a real team journey of increasing impact and shifting behaviour which reminds us of the importance of trust and authenticity and helps show us how to get there.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:

🔸 A team has higher levels of effectiveness and performance. A working group can serve a purpose like a task force or committee).

🔸 It is essential that a team knows why it exists

🔸 Despite stated commitment to being authentic to benefit the team, hidden competing commitments such as playing it safe to look good prevent change (immunities to change)

🔸 Surfacing the individual and collective 'stories' helps the team break away from habits and patterns of thinking that are not serving the team
