Mental Health Curriculum with Ross Szabo

Ross Szabo, a mental health advocate who has developed a mental health curriculum for schools. We discuss curriculum aids in the normalization of conversations about mental health, the importance of tackling mental health issues as early as possible, and the provision of a framework for understanding mental health literacy. Szabo also shares his personal journey, beginning from a family background of severe mental health disorders and addiction, through navigating his own mental health challenges, and eventually towards becoming the director of outreach for the National Mental Health Awareness Campaign and having the opportunity to create the first large scale mental health assemblies in the U.S.
