House Investigation Falls Apart Because Republicans Tried To Sleep With Witness
Manage episode 463252175 series 3496469
Republicans in the House of Representatives have been wanting to investigate the January 6th Committee for years, but their attempts hit a major snag this past summer, according to a shocking new report from The Washington Post. Republican Representative Barry Loudermilk was prepared to issue a subpoena to former Trump aide Cassidy Hutchinson, as Republicans believe she is the key to bringing down the former Committee. However, he was told NOT to do it because it could reveal "sexually explicit" text messages that Republican lawmakers had sent to her.
Karoline Leavitt, Donald Trump's press secretary to begin his second term, is already embroiled in a major campaign finance scandal. Leavitt ran for Congress in 2022 and failed to win her race, but she managed to rake in tons of cash. Unfortunately for her, according to reports, hundreds of thousands of dollars were given to her over the legal limit, and she was found to be in violation of campaign finance laws. More importantly, she also FAILED to disclose these debts for YEARS until filing an amended statement just days ago.
Donald Trump's worst nightmare came true for him last week, when his second inauguration failed to pull in a significant amount of television viewers across the country. In fact, it was one of the least-watched inaugurations in nearly 20 years! Trump is all about ratings and appearances, and so far his second term is off to a very pathetic start.
