Does Depo-Provera Cause Brain Tumors? Litigation Is Possible but No Slam Dunk
Manage episode 450944735 series 2119562
A study published in March links the birth control Depo-Provera to a form of brain tumor.
But whether the study means that women who took Depo-Provera could successfully sue is unclear. Hosts Matt Dolman and Stan Gipe lay out both sides of the issue, including the opportunities and challenges of potential multi-district litigation.
“We’re gathering information, and I think at least from what we looked at, it looks pretty good from a claim perspective and kind of bad from a claimant perspective,” Stan says.
“I just think it’s early, and I want temper expectations,” Matt says.
Stan agrees that litigation is no “slam-dunk,” but women who think they may have a claim are invited to visit Dolman Law Group, call the firm’s toll free number, or call the Clearwater, Florida, number.
