Preparing for, and having, a successful singing performance when you get no rehearsal and don't know the room or the sound person, is not easy.
Fortunately there are some steps you can take that will help you to sing with confidence and shine like a star.
Today, we're going to hear from one of my Confident Vocalist Circle classes where I shared my tips for preparing for and handling a recent mystery performance, singing at my sister’s wedding reception.
I’m sharing this on the podcast because I had several people message me after the class and they shared with me how much of a game-changer it’s been in their ability to be confident in a mystery performance...one where you are walking into a situation with no rehearsal and little insight into the situation.

Resources:
In this episode, I want to pay attention because you’re going to learn:
  • How to practice and be prepared without singing your song over and over
  • Save time and stop wasting your valuable voice, finally develop and prepare it on your own terms
  • Practice with the confidence of a seasoned artist, no matter how long you've been performing
  • What to sing, if you have the choice, to increase your odds of success.
  • How to deal with sound equipment mystery - so you don't sound terrible
  • The magic phrase to get the sound person on your side, caring about you and wanting you to do well
  • 2 tips to reduce the likelihood of something going wrong and feel like a superstar when you're ready to go on stage.
  • 6 Ways to Prepare for Your Performance Without Singing a Single Note.
  • The Best Things to Drink and Not to Drink before if You Want to Sound Great
